Steady Hand: As a puppeteer, Samantha is highly dextrous and has a calm and steady hand. This aids her in her chosen style of combat, but has other applications in her fields of magical study as well.

Dancer: As fighting alongside Umbrael is a dance in and of itself, Samantha has become quite skilled at less violent dances as well. Among her various hobbies, dancing is unquestionably her favorite.

Physical Appearance

A demihuman with a pleasantly plump figure, blond hair, and amber eyes. Samantha has a sharp sense of dress, and prefers outfits as casual as jeans and t-shirts as opposed to wizard robes and hats, though she can occasionally be caught in ceremonial mage garb when it is absolutely necessary for her to look the part.

History

Samantha has always been a student of magic, ever since she showed the aptitude for it at a young age (it was later discovered that it came so easily to her because she is a Focus of Earth, which makes manipulating her steel puppet preternaturally easy for her). Though she has had formal instruction, her quick grasp of spellcraft and the unnatural ease with which she manipulated magic, specifically spells pertaining to channeling both ore and living energy, often frustrated her instructors into abandoning her. It was during a summer trip to North City one year ago that she was intent on visiting the Arcaneum, but was separated from the group of prospective students she had traveled there with and not heard from for nearly a week. When she did return, looking rather worse for the wear, it was with the Nox Nyctores Umbrael in her possession.

She has not revealed how she discovered the weapon or learned to control it, and she is highly cautious around other users of magic who may recognize what it is on sight and attempt to steal it from her. For this reason, she has put off attempting to study at the Arcaneum for an entire year, but with the war with the Saiyans in full swing and the need to gain in power and skill pressing on her so that she may have a greater chance of survival, her options are running out.
