Miniskills

Itamae: Though she cannot claim any real proficiency in the kitchen when it comes to most dishes, Madoka is a highly-skilled itamae, at least compared to other aspiring itamae of the same age group. Initially, it was to be her occupation, but her elder sister's untimely death has led to her being the clan's only remaining heiress. Though she has taken to her training and learning to use the Byakugan well, it is not her primary passion.

Clan Historian: The Himura clan exists in two fractured groups; the Portal Keepers, a clan of demihumans who have mastered the art of manipulating time and space and incorporating it into a martial art, and the 'true' Himura clan, those who possess the Byakugan, but do not have psionic talent. Though the two families have separated due to political strife, they maintain a dedicated and detailed history of both their own clan and the opposing clan out of bregruding respect for one another's abilities, even if they do not see eye to eye on almost anything else. Both families use a complicated system in which members of the clan are part of either the Main or Branch house, and both clans intermarry between the houses in order to keep their genetic talents from ever falling into the hands of foreigners or other clans. Madoka is one of her clan's historians, and knows as much of the two separate Himura clans' history as there is to know.

Physical Appearance

Madoka stands five feet and five inches tall, around the average for a woman, but has a curvier and more vivacious build despite her martial training, along with a substantial bust that often led to her being teased as a child. Her long, black hair frames a pretty, but not striking face. The most distinct aspect of her appearance is that her sclera and cornea are the same unusual shade of white, and her pupils are very difficult to see if she is not directly channeling her Chakra into the Byakugan.

History

Madoka is the second-oldest daughter of Himura Hiroshi, the current head of the Himura clan. From the very beginning, her elder sister Honoka, with whom she was very close, was meant to be the clan's heiress. Though both showed potential in fighting prowess and skill with techniques specific to the Himura clan and those members of it who displayed a mastery of the Byakugan, Honoka was more skilled by far. Unfortunately, this great skill was eventually her undoing; when sent on a difficult mission, she was led into a trap set specifically to capture or kill her so that the secrets of her kekkei genkai could be wrested from her for the benefit of a rival clan. In a vulgar display of defiance, the rival clan sent her body back to the Himura clan, minus the prized eyes that had cut from her head.

Unfortunately, this rival clan did not expect that such disrespect would briefly unite the fractured Himura clan, leading both the Portal Keepers and Byakugan-wielders on a bloody swath of vengeance that saw this now-extinct clan slaughtered to the last man, woman, and child. Once the deed was done, the Himura clan separated again, and while they still disagree strongly on many matters, the process of healing and rejoining the clans has begun. Madoka has taken her elder sister's place, intent on living up to her father's demanding expectations and honoring the memory of her fallen sibling. Her travels have taken her to Cardinal in search of Himura Ryuichi, the current generation's firstborn heir to the Portal Keeper legacy.
