Techniques

The Exchange
Passive, non-combat. This technique allows Hiroshi to convert tech days to Economic Units on a 1:3 basis. These EUs can then either be traded to other characters or entities, or reconverted to tech days -- however, tech days gained from converting EUs may only be spent on item techniques and upgrades, and physical assets. If EUs are traded to a character that does not already have an EU system in place, that character can convert them to tech days with the same restrictions. EUs are compatible with other EU systems, and Hiroshi can receive EUs from others and spend them in the same way.
Appraisal
Non-combat. Once per month, Hiroshi can thoroughly examine an item he has possession of by spending a single tech day (if an item was given to Hiroshi for appraisal, appraisal cannot be completed until after that scene ends and an IC day passes). At the conclusion of the appraisal, Hiroshi will gain complete understanding of the item's properties, and an estimate of its neutral bias worth in EUs. He can then suggest an improvement for the item, if the item can be upgraded. The improvement does not need to be specific; the act of giving the suggestion will allow another character (not Hiroshi) to perform any upgrade to that item with 5 tech days reduced from the final price, not to exceed half of that price. Once such an appraisal has been performed on an item, Hiroshi will recognize the item no matter how it is concealed, and a second appraisal can never be done on it.
Plot-related items may confound this technique. However, it may also be possible, at staff discretion, that a more thorough appraisal (costing more tech days) can yield results.
Magic Pocket
The Magic Pocket is a magical item that allows its wearer to store and conceal truly enormous and visually baffling volumes of objects, through the wizardry of pocket dimensions. The pocket is not normally sensible, but characters who can pierce signature concealment equal to the wearer's TotalPL and perceive magic signatures can sense its presence. The pocket dimension the pocket leads to is roughly the size of a football field, and there is no gravity inside, but there is a seemingly endless supply of air. When the wearer opens the pocket, a portal is opened to the pocket dimension close to whatever the wearer is thinking about inside, presuming such a thing exists inside. Alternately, if someone should become trapped inside, all they would need to do is push through a wall of the space and they will open the pocket from the inside. The pocket is extraordinarily elastic, and can stretch to accomodate the storage or removal of items as big as a standard house. This takes significant time stretching to do, however.
