Physical Appearance

Goblins resemble mishappen Nameks. They are short in nature standing between 3 to 4 feet tall. They have elongated arms which touch the ground and short legs. Goblins ears are one of most unusual features on these creatures. They tend to be long and pointed. It's said that since Goblins arn't strong their large ears allows them to hear even the softest of footsteps allowing them to escape much easier. They tend to be bald or have a few strands of hair though the strands that they do have range from white, purple, green or black. Their eyes are larger than normal and varies in color ranging from green to yellow.

The clothing that Goblins wear tends to be pieces of armor or cloth that they come by. They fashion the clothes themselves but have no real sense of style. Many Goblins however can be seen wearing just a shirt or nothing at all. Though for some unknown reason Goblins love shoes, though this is mainly from a fact that jagged rocks tend to hurt their feet, and would rather wear protection from those sharp rocks.

Social Structure

Goblin social structure is chaotic at best. They live in tribes and believe deeply in a rule by might. Only the largest strongest Goblin may lead a tribe. At first Goblins were disorganized and scared by even the slightest shadow, however with the introduction of new races into the Goblin territories they had adapted and formed a loose based caste system. Strong Goblins and their families are usually held in the highest respects while the rest are seen as lower class Goblins regardless of if they're soldiers or merchants.

The social structure is at best shakey. Mostly the more powerful Goblins remain in charge from being in a strong family, thusly all others in the second class tend to be too afraid to challenge a leader or another Goblin from that leaders family. However it has been known that a few brave Goblins do challenge the leader and if successful that Goblin and it's family then become the leader.

Goblin families tend to be large. One family can have up to twenty children for every one set of parents. A single tribe can have up to ten seperate families including branch families and up to twohundred members of a single tribe. Goblins however tend to stick to the tribe they were born in instead of moving on to a seperate tribe.

Goblin Tribes

Thick Skull

One of the oldest Goblin tribes to date. They reside in mountains and live in caves that can span for miles in all directions. Due to the harsh climates and strong creatures that live in the mountains these Goblins are natural born warriors. These Goblins are stronger than normal however they tend to be slow and dimwitted the sheer amount of Goblins that live in this tribemakes them the most feared tribe in Goblin Culture.

Metal Works

A reletivly new tribe of Goblins. Since the introduction of techonolgy in Goblin Culture these clever little guys may not physically be the strongest, but what they lack in strength they make up for in being able to create powerful weaponry. The greatest achivement is when they had found an old IMP mech suit. Metal Works was able to recreate smaller more powerful versions of the mechsuit. They live in a currently growing town named after their tribe.

Red Fangs

Another old tribe of Goblins. Living in forests these beastly Goblins have learned to speak with the various animal and plant life of the area. The only Goblin tribe to have a shamanistic culture, they use nature and chaotic forms of magic as their weapons. Many stronger Goblins of this tribe have been seen in the company of a Sabretooth Tiger as their companion and mount. Unlike Thick Skull and Metal Works these Goblins prefer the use of magics over brute force or technology.

Gold Diggers

Of all the Goblin tribes the Gold Diggers are non-combatants. Instead they live under existing cities coming up to the surface to peddle cheap and useful goods in exchange for zenny or other services. Most fighters on Earth who wish to purchase illegal goods can usually find them from the Gold Diggers. As such the Gold Diggers tends to hire others to do their fighting for them. Although they may not fight themselves they are still quite deadly.

Goblin Weaponry and Technology

Goblins may not be as strong as other races but they do learn and adapt quickly. By nature they are scavangers. Food and other such nourshment is usually picked off a dead creature or they happen upon it. Goblins spend most of their time scavaging for food or materials so they must arm themselves quickly, so Goblin weaponry tends to be whatever sword, axe or rock that happens to be sharp or dangerous enough to be used as a weapon. Goblins however are also clever little creatures. They can reverse engineer a weapon and recreate it with much cheaper materials than it was originally created with.

Most fighters starting out generally seek out Goblin type weapons. They are reliable if purchased from the right Goblin. Goblin weaponry ranges from Guns, swords, maces or anything else that the Goblin who created it could think of. There are even rumors of Goblin-Mechs running around below the streets of Metal Works.

Goblin Magic

Goblins generally don't use magic due to a large fact that most Goblins fear magic. The Goblins that are able to use magic generally learn only a few spells and let their physical strength do the rest, or allow their animal companion to fight with them. Though a Goblin's mental capacity disallows them to come up with truly great spells. Most Goblins stick to using fireballs or somthing of an equally dangerous nature.

Goblin Language

Nobody really ever knows just what the original Goblin language derives from. To most it sounds more like a series of small barks and snarls. Though in reality it's quite an intelligent way of speaking. Since Goblins are not very large and prey to many creatures that dwell on this planet, Goblins formed a way of communicating with one another that sounds very much as if they were about to fight one another. Much like a dogs growl pitch and motion plays a very huge role in Goblinese.

Today most Goblins speak English. However their vocal chords are not advanced enough to allow them to speak perfect English. The English that they do speak is a form of broken English. Since Goblins live in such large families they do not understand the concept of one. So instead they tend to speak in the third person in relating to themselves.

Goblin Relations with other races

For the most part Goblins are at an uneasy truce with the rest of the world. Most see the Goblins as a chaotic race of untrustworthy beings, and for the most part they are right. A Goblin would sooner rob you of your zenny or stab you in the back if it ment that they would gain anything extra. When dealing with Goblins it's best to count your fingers first, then your toes and then any other body parts that you just may need or have grown attached to.

For the most part Goblins to keep to themselves. Rarely are they seen travelling far from their home, so they are generally left alone. Though anyone that walks into the Goblins territory is seen by the Goblins as fair game. Though the Goblins are not as Chaotic enough to simply kill a traveller who wanders into their lands. If they could profit from a fighter and continue to profit from that person then they are more than welcome to safely walk amongst the Goblins.
