Electronica: During the early stages of Celesta's core AI programming, she was exposed to various forms of electronic music while her programmers worked through her coding. This was more or less the equivalent of holding ear phones to a pregnant woman's belly, and Celesta acquired an almost obsessive appreciation for the format. Built with a bit of a creative streak, she has since her creation become a widely successful DJ in the South City clubbing scene, likely owing to her oddly mathematical and melodic sounds.

The Old Ways: Celesta is programmed with a functional expertise of almost every form of armed and unarmed martial art to have ever existed on the Earth, an easy feat when a being can absorb information the way AI's do. This appreciation for what she simply calls The Old Ways extends into the philosophy of the arts themselves, often leading to her sounding far more well-read than she actually is.

History

A few years prior to Mirion beginning his work with living weapons, his older step sister Anna Maybelle had already begun a similar line of research, but with artificial intelligences and transhumans. While she had no moral qualms about the creation of an AI, seeing it as no different than nurturing an unborn life and giving birth to it in a non-biological manner, she drew the line at grafting AIs to living humans. This conflicted starkly with her ultimate goal, which was to create surrogate bodies capable of sustaining individuals who had sustained injuries that prevented the use of their own, such as quadriplegics. No matter how fervently she researched other options, it seemed the only way to transfer human consciousness from one body to another using only technology was to incorporate artificial intelligence as well.

It was only after Mirion had already forged a number of living weapons that she finally hit her breakthrough, believing that a person's brain could be preserved in a digital state, then 'synched up' with a biological body grown for the purpose to allow the person to live through their remote-operated avatar. Celesta represents the first prototype of that body; one that is completely biological and will live, breathe, and expire naturally, but is capable of being inhabited remotely by an operator. Ironically, her operator is not a human being, but an AI itself, as it was deemed too dangerous to attempt the first neural synchronization with an actual person. Though this project is still barely out of its beginning stages after years of work, Celesta marks a significant breakthrough. If the tests go well enough, Anna may finally realize her dream of providing a new life to those living with severe disabilities.
