Rules talk:Conquest

Woa, woa, woa. Is this rule implying that people can forcibly remove control of a territory from another player? Or is this Conquest rule set just to be applied to territory that as of yet has not been taken? It doesn't seem fair that a player takes the time and patience to build something for a group of IC maurading invaders to just steal it away. What is this rule capable of?--Vraeyda 15:07, 3 January 2008 (PST)

Yes, it is possible. However, when I expand the rules fully, it'll be seen that player-owned territories (versus staff-owned territories such as Cardinal) will involve the player in the defense of them, giving them a significant opportunity to defend against invaders -- tying in with, in the case of D'hennexian territories, the boosted/static characters granted to them. Do you have a quantitative system for this, or is it pretty much at staff discretion? Tiryst 15:32, 12 February 2008 (PST)

I do have something resembling a quantitative system in mind (or at least pseudo-quantitative), but it really needs to be tested before being set -- thus the shift to playtest mode from in construction. As it'll be staff-tracked anyway, though, it doesn't really need to be published. Hroefn T 15:38, 12 February 2008 (PST)
