Geminatra's mind has touched and entangled itself with the mysterious metaphysical existence known as the Focus. It has gifted her with potent psychic powers that feed on her more primal emotions. She also twists its potential through dark, alien rituals to create intense, raw power. This power meshes seamlessly with her psionic abilities, each amplifying and exploiting the other to wreak devastating effects upon those who cross her.
Techniques
- Note: In technique subtitles, the number after "Psionic" is the number of slots required to use it.
- Foresight (Psionic 1, Magic Basic)
- Acting in place of a standard defense, a master of the Focus can dip their minds into it and hear the whispers of the future, finding methods of escaping injury several moments before attacks against them are ever launched. This grants them a certain clairvoyance, dancing around the blows of even the exceptionally skilled as though they were novices. However, there are limits to what they can foresee. The power behind attacks begins to cloud vision, shortening the amount of time ahead they can predict them and sometimes making complete avoidance impossible. Foresight grants a defensive pool of 200% Mag+PsiPL, which "absorbs" damage intended for the user. Damage absorbed in this way is considered dodged as though the user were exceptionally lucky, quick, or insightful, and allows for dodges and other sorts of aversions to attacks that the user should not normally be able to see or sense. Foresight may be applied selectively and partially; the user can choose for an attack to bypass this defense, and the user can choose to only absorb some of an attack's damage with it. However, foresight can only be applied to damage that can feasibly be avoided or at least mitigated. If the user is trapped in a small, empty room with a bomb when it goes off, Foresight may not be able to absorb any of the bomb's damage, for instance. In addition, unlike standard magical barrier spells, Foresight has a time limit of 10 posts before it fails the user and must be resummoned or refreshed. Should this happen, the user can choose to recast Foresight again using only the psionic and magic natural charges, but the renewed spell will only have whatever absorption the previous casting had left in it.
- Zealous Deliberation (Magic Basic)
- Once cast, the user's movements are hastened by a unnatural sense of purpose, causing any single psionic slot used for autokinesis each post to be accelerated by 50% MagPL. This lasts until the end of the scene.
- Focus Ravage (Psionic 2, Magic Basic)
- The user draws upon the swells of hatred and anger in the Focus, as well as her own enmity for her opponent, and concentrates them into a single terrible force of nature, which she releases from her fingertips, seeking out her victim in the form of bright violet lightning. The lightning strikes for 60% MagPL plus 40% PsiPL, and travels at 100% Mag+PsiPL, with 45 degrees of homing. The spell can also be charged once, giving it a total of 80% MagPL plus 80% PsiPL damage. On bodily contact, the spell electrocutes the victim, rendering locomotion impossible without impairing other actions. Finally, if the spell makes contact with its target (or its targets defenses) in the first post, it can be sustained for additional posts for as long as stamina permits and contact is maintained. Because of the nature of this spell, it will snake around small obstacles such as worn shields and tiny spaces like air holes to reach its target. At the same time, because of this quality, it has no impact force, and thus cannot resist a pushing force such as another stream.
- Manifest of Fear (Psionic 1, Magic Basic)
- Like a quick, compact form of Focus Ravage, this spell allows the user to reach out with her hand and send a sudden blast of fury made into lightning toward an opponent. The spell does 30% MagPL + 20%PsiPL damage and travels at 100% Mag+PsiPL. It has a limited range of about 20 feet. Whatever it strikes is also on the receiving end of a sudden concussive blast, pushing them in the direction of the blast for 100% Mag+PsiPL.
- Fazeblade (Psionic, Item)
- A simple, technological weapon common to certain remote parts of the galaxy where psions are more common. It resembles a longsword, only when it is unpowered it is little more effective than a flimsy club. When wielded by any psion, the hilt processes the latent psionic energy in its wielder's sphere of influence and transmutes air into a blade of rapidly phasing energy that can easily carve through most matter that is not fortified to powered standards. It can be difficult to handle, as the construction of the weapon necessitates a single-edge design, and if the other side of the blade is struck with any sort of force, it will break. The "sharp" side of the blade possesses a portable version of the common tech Durability Sharing that applies only to itself.
- Focus Persuasion (Psionic, Magic, non-combat)
- The user reaches through the Focus with her mind and injects a powerful idea into a victim's mind as if it were their own, nesting there and working its way into the victim's thoughts. The effect is variable, depending on the complexity of the idea, the compatibility of the idea with the victim's own beliefs, and the duration of contact. Close quarters are required for mental contact, but without actually touching the victim, the effect lasts for only a few moments before the victim starts to reintegrate reality and their own beliefs. A few moments of touch can last an entire day, where several minutes of touching can last one or more weeks. Generally, a single Persuasion cannot implant an idea for longer than two weeks, and the longer a Persuasion goes without maintenance, the more likely it is to be discovered as artificial. On the other hand, if a single constant idea is repeatedly Persuaded into a mind over an extended period, the victim's contradictory thoughts will begin to weather away, until the idea no longer needs to be maintained; the victim literally adopts the idea as their own, abandoning ideas that they may have once held strongly, and special psionic therapy is required to help the victim untrench themselves from it. While layered Persuasion -- the injection of more than one idea -- is possible, it is dangerous in that it tends to cause insanity and unpredictability as difficulties with the ideas increase exponentially. Mortals are far more susceptible to Persuasion than power wielders, who may resist it with their natural mental defenses; the power of long term Persuasion is 200% PsiPL plus 100% MagPL, and power wielders are generally immune to ranged Persuasions.

Biography
Geminatra was once an ordinary human on Earth, though she would never admit to ever being ordinary. She merely states that she grew weary of Earth being preyed upon by the strong and free while its would-be protectors had grown complacent and only barely held the line, at times failing so completely that the universe had to be rewritten twice to rectify their laziness. She felt a subtle connection to that terrible force that sundered reality and made it whole again. What a mad fantasy she had, to be the one who could control such power. No being would dare contest the Earth, if she were protected by ones who could undo and redo reality as they saw fit. Indeed, Earth could then return to its antagonists the same wrath it had received to those who so generously gave it. With this hateful design in mind, she left her cradleworld and set out to discover the greater mystery of the galaxy. At least, that is how Geminatra tells the story to those who are lucky and favored enough to be privy to such private information.
After a few months of searching, she was captured by a sect of reclusive aliens who worship emotion. They subjected the witless girl to all manner of stimulus; crushing her will with brain-melting torture, driving her beyond ecstasy, and drawing from her emotions that she didn't even realize could be produced on a whim. Their bewitching minds made her fall madly in love in one moment and become a murderous monster in the next. In their teasing, testing, and probing, they discovered that the woman had a powerful, untapped connection to the great, subdimensional pool of primal power and potential, which on Earth, was known to the Order of Ma'Shas as the Focus. Her emotions were surprisingly unrestrained for a citizen of such a reserved, shut-in world as Earth. In her, they saw a prodigal new member to their secret organization.
They began her training, shouting and howling at her in languages she did not understand and lathering abuse on her until she forced herself to understand. They invaded her mind at all hours of the day, twisting her thoughts to make her ponder things she would ordinarily not consider. Through controlled rumors and whispers, they made her want to learn their ways, as she saw it as the only way to escape. When they touched her mind to the Focus, however, it was like a light switch being toggled. Suddenly, it all made sense to her. Their ways made sense. She saw the state of her people for what her new philosophy dictated it was; a great font of power, turned upon itself so that it never perceived that it was being controlled by weak creatures not even a fraction of their might. It sickened her to think of it, and she trained harder than before under the care of her alien influences. By the time she emerged, she was beginning to blossom in the power of the Focus, mastering her mind as well as the sorceries of the Neroth to seduce, bewitch, influence, coerce, destroy, and empower. There was no more she could learn in their controlled surroundings. They named her Geminatra and sent her out, and instructed her not to return until she had "become the master."
She could think of no place that needed a master more than her own homeworld. Still clad in the vestments of the acolytes of her instructors, she procured a shuttle from a hapless mortal and travelled home. Soon, Earth would know the true order of things. She has foreseen it.
