Remo Zintraze is a man without a home. Long ago, members of the Saiyan race destroyed his planet and killed everyone on it. Remo attempted to fight back but was quickly overpowered. As he laid there, battered and broken, the three Saiyans murdered his wife and daughter in front of him, forcing him to watch their agonizing deaths.

After that, Remo was left for dead, but he didn't die as planned and awoke hours later with a mysterious sword in his hand. The magical blade, which seemed to have a life of its own, had given him the strength to go on and from that day forth, he vowed to never stop hunting the Saiyans responsible for his family's deaths. With the mysterous sword, he traveled the galaxy, hunting Saiyans wherever he went, saving many planets from their tyranny and earning the name Saiyan Assassin because of his ruthless way of killing them. With every Saiyan foe, he took their heads and with it their souls, his sword feeding on them to fuel it's power.

His quest for revenge eventually lead him to Earth, where he first met the woman known as Lillian Shuraba. She treated him with kindness that seemed to have no end and became the first real friend he's had since his family died. Through out his time on Earth, he'd find that not all Saiyans were evil and come to see that not all of them deserved to be destroyed.

In an effort to stop the wizard Atyhtan Ator, Remo ascended and, in one moment of pure rage, discovered his lifelong hunt had been an ironic joke, as he transformed into a Super Saiyan, revealing his true heritage. Despite the power of the transformation, this was still not enough to defeat the wizard and Remo was beaten and imprisoned inside Ator's crystal ball. Remo was brainwashed and turned into Ator's evil slave, doing his bidding at will and causing pain and chaos wherever he went, even turning on Lillian.

Despite what he'd done, Lillian would not give up on him, breaking the spell with her love for him, kind words getting through where harsh actions had not. Remo now lives with seemingly no sense of direction. Where before, he was consumed by vengeance, he is not so sure of where his life may go any longer. He's spent so much time on revenge, he hardly knows how to live any other way.
