Eligible Power Types: Mag
Technique Type: Active
Required Credentials: Living Libram Society CT

Description

The ability to teleport is an inarguably useful faculty, and mages see no reason why it should be the exclusive realm of psions. This spell functions as an adequate equivalent of a psion's Basic Teleport for mages.

Logistics

This spell permits the mage to instantly teleport themselves to another location, either within line-of-sight (with whatever senses they have, not necessarily only sight), or to a more distant place that they are very familiar with. They may not affect others with this technique, only themselves.

Using this spell consumes their technique action and 80% MagPL stamina.

Characters with multiple power levels cannot take actions with their other power levels in the same round as Jaunt is activated, other than Passive Defence for PsiPL.

As a Libram Society technique, it will cost a character 1 TD to access this as a Basic spell, or 2 TD to access this as an Advanced spell. If they are of at least Neutral bias, once they expend 23 TD on this spell, they will possess it as a Basic spell automatically, and no longer require the Libram to access it. Once they expend 45 TD on this spell, they will possess it as an Advanced spell.
