For all intents and purposes, Angela Pryde will appear human to most anyone. Her one notable aspect at first glance is her ash-colored hair. Her appearance fools people, for underneath her flesh most of her body has been replaced with cybernetic components, greatly enhanced well over human parameters. During combat she's been known to even grow robotic parts from within the back of her head and neck, though no one really knows what they're for. 

== Powers ==

The cyborg, being an avid hunter of power wielders, would of course exhibit neither ki, magic, nor psionics. Instead, her powers lie in the field of technology, specifically that of cybernetics. Angela prefers not to fight alone, and is often seen with a squadron of well-trained men and women who accompany her on her raids. 

Aside from this, she is a notable sniper, often employing an electromagnetic rifle to beat down her enemies from afar.

== Biography ==

Angela Pryde was just another happy-go-lucky mortal trying to make a living in Central City. Well, her brother made a living for the both of them while the girl still studied at the best college to study advanced physics at there, but still. Hers was a rather normal life, since she and Albert, her bro, were mortals and all. No silly fighting (pew pew pew!) or insane catgirls (mew mew mew!) to bother them at all. That is, until one day some sort of powered fight broke out in the city. Angela and Al were heading to the movies when an errant blast of ki tore into a building overhead, causing mortar and stone to rain down on the poor siblings. Albert, being the stereotypical overprotective brother, tried to shield his sibling from the coming death.

Now, up until then, Angela was rather neutral when it came to powered people. All that fighting, all that flying around, she didn't like it at all. Lives were endangered sometimes, and since these people possessed such grand powers, they were in no danger. But what about the mortals below? To Angie, most of the power types were irresponsible. But she never hated them. At least not until that day. The girl sustained crushing injuries, but her physical ailments were nothing compared to when she found out that her brother had died while in intensive. Now she had reason to hate these people. Loathe and despise them. For in the blink of an eye everything that was precious to Angela was taken away.

It was this loathing that caught the Philosophers' attention. For some time now the Philosophers had gathered, an unknown group of rich and influencial people who had formulated a plan to prevent the planet from being plunged into a catastrophe thanks to all the metahuman activity that has broken out. Their plan was to mount a counteroffensive agency, one that would operate in secrecy to pacify all metahuman activity using technology as their medium. As such, the Philosopher Society was created, backed and funded by the shadowy Philosophers. What they now needed was a blank slate, someone with enough drive to lead their Society for them. Angela Pryde was that very pawn. Using cybernetics they gave her back her body, though of course it was greatly heightened and all such fun stuff. They gave her the Society base, and her own myriad of subordinates. Using her own talents, Angela's devised weaponry for the Society, adding to what the Philosophers had already gave her. All in all, she now wields a small army with which to begin implementing the Philosophers' dream.

Nowadays, the initial stages of the Society project are complete. By now Angela's burning hatred and emoness against metahumans has dulled and dwindled. She still has her orders, and she still serves the Philosophers fervently, and she still dislikes metahumans with a passion, but she has learned to control her hatred. To rein it in and not let it overtake her. In a way, she's become pretty machine-like in some aspects, which is deliciously ironic considering her mechanical body.
