Biography

Born into South City, Sol had to learn at a very young age how to fend for himself. His father’s love of gambling had led both of his parents to an early grave and left Sol alone with no other family and not a speck of income to speak of.

As a young man, Sol never had the talents, so to speak, of the thieves’ life that he is engulfed in these days. As he reached manhood, he found himself falling into his father’s old patterns, and ended up being bullied into committing a crime to get himself out of a debt. This crime, a theft, put Sol in the spotlight of the thieves’ guild in South City.

Days later, he was approached by the Master Thief of that thieves’ guild, the man who would become his mentor. The man who was like a father to him. Dayhawk. Until that day, Sol had his doubts that the thieves guild even existed. But that was the day that would form the rest of his life.

Day after day, month after month, year after year, Sol was ruthlessly trained by Dayhawk until he became one of the most skilled thieves Cardinal had ever seen. He took on many of the traits that Dayhawk already had in him, including a deep seated hatred of all saiyans and even most demi-humans.

Eventually, there came a point where the members of the guild began to speak amongst themselves about how Sol had surpassed even the skills of Dayhawk.

This didn’t sit too well with the Master Thief when he overheard one such conversation. Dayhawk immediately put the men to death and began liquidating the guild, killing off anyone who favored Sol over him.

Sol knew that sooner or later it was going to come down to a bloody confrontation between himself and Dayhawk. He didn’t quite have that killer instinct in him yet, and instead chose to flee.

He left as soon as humanly possible, taking Dayhawk’s most prized possession with him: the telepathic sword Ilbratha. Sol went to West City, constantly hounded by his former master’s assassins, knowing that one day, Dayhawk himself was going to find him.

Sol started up his own guild, deep beneath the streets of West City, in preparation for that day.
