Crimson Cross Mercenaries

Organization

The Crimson Cross Mercenary group was founded shortly after the end of the 2012-2013 Budokai tournament. During the events of the Zell crisis, and the tournament itself, Constance Cross decided that the life of Piracy she had planned to 'return' to was not one that she would enjoy anymore. As such, she negotiated a contract with the Compass Guard to become officially licensed bounty hunters, and mercenaries. This would allow them legal rights and protection when striking out at the evils which attacked Cardinal. It came with responsibility as well, as the members would be held to a higher standard upon breaking the laws. Officially they have no link to the Compass Guard except for this contract, and the members require no rank. While a proto-military organization, most of its members are lone wolves and chosen to be able to fight on their own. While Constance herself is in charge, people may come and go as they like, though they must remain a member in good standing to retain access to the various methods of support that IG100 is able to supply. All of the members should at least nominally believe in the right of mortals to live free, and that power users have a responsibility to use their powers for good.

And that when they do, they should get paid for it.

Realistically she is aware that many bounty hunter or mercenary types have more selfish reasons for what they do. So long as they obey the rules and do not get the group in trouble, she will not come down on them for 'indulging'. While the group tries to take criminals alive, as the live bounty is often more, she understands that sometimes things happen, and will usually look the other way. The rules on board are simple and easily followed, all around the lines of 'act like an adult and you'll be treated as such.' Those members who bring in more money are usually allowed more liberties, though there is no official 'ranking'.

The Mercenary group is based off of the Pride Breaker, a large ship in orbit which is controlled by the Artificial Intelligence known as IG100, or 'Iggy'. IG100 monitors operations on Earth, grants them a safe and secure place to train and sleep, and assists in battle when necessary.
