Sakura
Sweet blossoms child before the hard wood’s wake
Rose petals liquid soft embracing life
Our spirits lifted high by blossom sake
And forward fall. The calm denies our strife
Upon the balmy rise of sudden sun
A mountain glistens high above the glade
Soft caverns cold and bare do ever run
From gentle stream, the hills been carved and made
Aye stars which dance delight across the sky
Again! Again for future eyes to see
Far gone are they who flow ‘fore curtain die
Begin and so take comfort, though to flee
Oh gentle time such splendours fleeting found
Deny us not our pleasures moment bound.
